Final League Standings

Gor Mahia retained the league title following an epic nail-biting fight with a determined Sofapaka side. The deciding match was a thrilling encounter between Gor Mahia and Sofapaka at Kasarani. The match ended 1-0 in favour of Gor Mahia thanks to a memorable goal by Dan Sserunkuma who had received an equally memorable back-heel assist from Patrick Oboya.

GoTV Shield

Sofapaka capped a good season by winning the GoTV shield. In the final, they beat Posta Rangers 2-1 with goals from Enock Agwanda and Clifford Miheso. In the semi-final, they had beaten AFC Leopards 2-0. Gor Mahia faltered in the 4th round, losing to GFC 105 of Eldoret on penalties.

Harambee Stars Disaster

The qualifiers for the 2015 Africa cup of nations ended in yet another calamity for Harambee Stars. This time they were eliminated by Lesotho. Harambee Stars had beaten a tough Comoros side in the first round, winning 1-0 at home thanks to a blistering long range effort by Johanna Omollo. They then settled for a 1-1 draw away in Comoros thanks to a brilliantly taken free-kick by Ayub Timbe Masika.

In round two, Kenya lost to Lesotho 1-0 away before being held scoreless at home, thus losing 1-0 on aggregate. Following the match, there were unfounded accusations of match fixing and the threat of a probe by FKF. Coach Adel Amrouche and the rest of the coaching staff were dismissed and replaced by Bobby Williamson.
