Leopards fall to Bandari

Coach James Nandwa suffered his first defeat as Leopards coach when they went down to Bandari FC at Mbaraji sports club.

Allan Wanga had opened the score when he picked up a careless back pass, and beat Keeper Wilson Obungu with a low shot on 23 minutes.

Alloyce Mangi grabbed the equalizer ten minutes later when he headed in a  free-kick from Shaban Kenga for a 1-1 half-time score.

Wanga, Paul Were and Noah Wafula were rampant in the second half but to no avail.

Mangi scored against the run of play in the  70th minute. Shaban kenga alomost stretched the lead but missed narrowly.

Damaris Kimani denied Leopards two penalties. The first came when Obungu and Wanga collided and the second when a Bandari player appeared to handle the ball in the box.

An Eric Masika goal from a corner was disallowed due to a foul on the Bandari keeper and the crowd grew restless and started pelting Bandari players with foreign objects.

The match was stopped for 15 minutes as Leopards players pleaded with their fans to calm down. Referee Kimani then blew for full time causing more fracas  and stone throwing that forced police to disperse the rowdy supporters with tear gas.
