Kenya Boxing Results at the 2000 Olympics

The 2000 Olympics were held in Sydney Australia. Only Four Kenyan boxers qualified for the games as Kenya’s gradual decline continued. Of the four, 22 year old Suleiman Bilali was the only bright spot. He won his first bout before losing the second one narrowly to Rafael Lozano who went on to win the silver medal. It was his first major tournament and he went on to have a successful career. He is a younger brother to 1984 Olympic bronze medalist Ibrahim Bilali.
