The 2013 season will be remembered as the season when Gor Mahia won the national league title after a 18-year hiatus and after narrowly missing the title in 2010 and again in 2012.

Cups
AFC Leopards won the GoTV shield after beating arch rivals Gor Mahia 1-0 in the final. Peter Opiyo scored the all-important goal. Opiyo had previously played for Gor Mahia.
Tusker won the Top 8 tournament, beating Thika United 5-3 on penalties. They also won the Super Cup, beating Gor Mahia on penalties.
Continental Club Tournaments
In the CAF champions league, Tusker beat St Michel United of Seychelles 7-1 on agggregate in the preliminary round. In the first round, they lost to Egyptian giants Al Ahly 4-1 on aggregate.
In the CAF confederations cup, Gor Mahia under coach Zdravko Logarusic, beat Anse Re Union of Seychelles 5-0 on aggregate in the preliminary round. In the first round they lost 3-0 on aggregate to ENPPI of Egypt.
CECAFA Senior Challenge cup
Hosts Kenya lifted the 2013 CECAFA Senior Challenge cup after an 11-year hiatus. After a dissapointing start that ended in a 0-0 draw with Ethiopia, Kenya won all their remaining matches, beating Zanzaibar, South Sudan, Rwanda and Rwanda, before beating Sudan 2-0 in the final.
