Jairus Birech dominates steeplechase
Jairus Birech has been in sensational form in the Diamond league this season. He has won the 3000m steeplechase in four straight races including in Oslo and Rome. This time he beat a strong field that included former world and Olympic champions like Paul Kipsiele Koech and Brimin Kipruto. His closest challenger was Conselus Kipruto who finished a good 7.5 seconds behind. The dominance of Kenyans in this race was thorough and utter.
