Andrew Amonde Date of Birth: 25 December 1983 Position: Forward Club Side: KCB School Attended: Kisumu Boys Weighing at over 100kg, Amonde is the battering ram of the Kenya team but is also adept at creating step with a sidestep and a quick pass. Amonde started rugby at Kisumu Boys high school before joining Kisumu RFC and later KCB. He became captain in 2012 after Humphrey Kayange, the previous captain left for further studies in the UK |

COLLINS INJERA Date of Birth: 18 October 1986 Position: Wing/Center Club : Mwamba RFC School Attended: Vihiga High Injera is not mostly for his breathtaking speed in open space that has seen him become Kenya's all time try scorer in the IRB circuit. But he also possesses a devastating handoff that often sends opposing tacklers tumbling. He started rugby at Vihiga high school. He would later join Ulinzi RFC. When Ulinzi were disbanded, he joined Mwamba where he played alongside hos brother Humphrey Kayange. |

OSCAR OUMA Date of Birth: 3 March 1989 Position: Forward Club Side: Nakuru RFC School Attended: Kijabe High Ouma is very adept at finding spaces. His timing is excellent and crucially his support play is superb. This enables him to be in the right place at the right time to receive passes in open fields. And once he is in open spaces, the speedy Ouma is often uncatchable. The Nakuru RFC player started rugby at Kijabe high school. He then played for the Kenya U20 team at the 2009 IRB Junior World cup before joining Nakuru's senior team. |

WILLIE AMBAKA Date of Birth: 14 May 1990 Position: Back Club Side: Kenya Harlequin FC School Attended: Dr Aggrey Mombasa With his combination of strength, size and pace, the burly Ambaka is like a freight train when in full flight. This has seen him earn the nickname "Lomu" after the legendary New Zealand winger. Ambaka started rugby at Dr Aggrey se Dubbed Kenya's "Lomu" The former student of Dr. Aggrey High School in Mombasa and Kenya Harlequins RFC player has seen his star rise steadily. He was in the forwards when Mike Friday arrived as head coach and his decision to move the gentle giant into the centre and wing positions has proved inspired. His was the telling performance when Kenya reached the Cup final in Wellington on the Series, beating New Zealand in the semis, and he was also a big factor in the other three semi finals the Kenyans have reached this season. HUMPHREY KAYANGE Date of Birth: 20 July 1982 Position: Forward Club Side: Mwamba RFC Nickname: Tall School Attended: St Peters Mumias Kayange was named by legendary New Zealand coach Gordon Tietjens as one of the best sevens players in the world. His height at 6'6" makes him priceless in lineouts and in recovering kickoffs, both of which he does with aplomb. He is very quick for his height , has an eye for the tryline and severely punishes opponents for any gaps they give him. |

PATRICE AGUNDA Date of Birth: 7 November 1989 Position: Forward Club Side: Kenya Harlequin FC School Attended: St Marys Yala Agunda is an excellent counter-attacker who has been in the Kenya sevens team at various times since 2010. He is quick and has an excellent ability to find spaces. |

LAVIN ASEGO Date of Birth: 25 May 1984 Position: Back Club Side: Mwamba RFC School Attended: St Marys Yala Asego is another highly experienced player having made his IRB sevens debut in 2008. He is possibly the best playmaker ever to don the Kenya jersey. His ability to find open spaces and release team-mates for easy tries has been a key component of Kenya's game in the past 5 years. He is also an excellent place kicker. |

HORACE OTIENO Date of Birth: 20 June 1986 Position: Forward Club Side: Mwamba RFC School Attended: Nyabondo High Otieno is a wonderful combination of size and speed that makes him a handful to stop when in full flight. He is highly experienced having played for the Kenya sevens team since 2008. He is also one of the most consistent players on the team. No matter how many minutes he plays, he always has an impact. He is also a true iron-man with hardly any injuries during his five years with the national team.

BIKO ADEMA Date of Birth: 1 September 1987 Position: Back Club Side: Nondescript RFC School Attended: St Marys Nairobi Adema can feature at both scrum half and centre. He has good speed. But one of the less discussed components of his game is his ability as a cover tackler which is brilliant. Perhaps the best sweeper in the Kenyan team over the past few years. Adema who started rugby at St Marys is one of the last few players coming from this school which used to produce a very high propotion of the Kenya sevens and fifteens teams. |

FELIX AYANGE Date of Birth: 21 May 1989 Position: Back Club Side: Kenya Harlequin FC School Attended: Kakamega High Ayange is one player who can play any position in sevens. He is a good distributor. Has an amazing burst of speed which often leaves defenders for dead. And has enough strength to play in the scrum. |

EDEN AGERO Date of Birth: 17 September 1990 Position: Back Club Side: Kenya Harlequin FC School Attended: St Marys Yala Agero is a brilliant playmaker and passer. His exploits in the XV aside game earned him rave reviews from national team coach Michael "Tank" Otieno. He has yet to transfer his superb XV aside skills to the sevens game but has amazing potential at scrum half. |

MICHAEL WANJALA Date of Birth: 16 August 1989 Position: Back Club Side: Strathmore Leos School Attended: Bungoma High Wanjala saw more playing time at scrum half than anyone else during the 2013 season. He has an excellent work rate. |
