Alliance girls High School was the top school with 25 straight As. Lokwee Chepkemei Phoebe was their top candidate with 82 points. Kenya High school was a close second overall 21 of their candidates scored A plain. The best overall candidate nationally was Jacob Wekesa of Alliance High School with straight A's of 86.794 points.

The total number of A plain was 141, a stark contrast to 2015 where  a total of 2636 candidates scored A plain. Stringent control of examination papers to avoid leakage has been credited.
