Strathmore University is one of the most reputable educational institutions in Kenya. On Monday November 30, the University held a security drill that was supposed to prepare students for a possible security emergency. The drill was poorly executed and poorly managed resulting in a stampede and mass chaos amongst students and staff. One person died after jumping off the third floor of a building. Dozens more were injured.
