Kenya dominates Africa cross country Championships

Kenya thoroughly and utterly dominated the 2016 African championships, leaving arch rivals Ethiopia, Uganda, Morocco and Eritrea biting the dust. Alice Aprot Nawowuna from Turkana county, continued her meteoric rise to the top when she won the women’s senior race finishing 52 seconds ahead of the rest of the field. James Rungaru needed a late burst to pass Uganda’s Philip Kipyeko in the last 50 metres.
