AFC Leopards proved too classy and several notches above Thika United whom they destroyed 4-1 at Kasarani on Sunday. The resurgent leopards were hitting on all cylinders. New signing Abdallah Juma impressed with a brace off two well taken free-kicks. Allan Wanga who is rounding back into the form that saw him play professional football overseas also scored as did Michal Khamati.
Also impressive were Martin Imbalambala , Peter Opiyo and Paul Were who gave Thika all types of headaches with his menacing runs. Thika’s only answer came via a David Kingatua free-kick.
Belgian coach Luc Eyemael praised his charges after the game. After the match, Eymael said: “We were one team on the pitch. We played well not for 60 minutes but 90 minutes. To play well is one thing and to win is another thing. Today we proved we have made great success” Eymael told michezoafrika.com. AFC now have 21 points.
