Upper Hill were out to claim their maiden Prescott title with Mang’u gunning for a third title in a row.
Mang’u wasted no time in making their intentions known, pinning Upper Hill inside their 22 for a good part of the first ten minutes, Upper Hill doing great to hold on.
Mang’u’s pressure paid off with a try to make it 5-0. Upper Hill tried to get back in it but could not break the Mang’u defence, the boys in green found themselves further behind after the second Mang’u try at the centre to bring the score to 12-0 at the half time.
Mang’u were rampant in that half, allowing their opponents very little of the ball during the contest last Saturday.
They continued with this early on in the second half, further stretching their lead to 17-0.

Upper Hill then finally put together a decent number of phases, camping inside the Mang’u but failing to score.
They eventually altered the scoreboard from a penalty to make it 17-3.
It was Upper Hill who had the upper hand in the latter stages of the game as they looked to catch up but it was the Wazimba who were to have the last laugh — they scored a converted try, giving them a 24-3 lead that they held to full time.
