Bedan Kaloki wins RAK Half Marathon

Bedan Karoki Muchiri won the 201 edition of the RAK Half Marathon with a time of 59:10. The 26 year old from Nyandarua, surged with 3 kilometres to go, dropping Yigrem Demelash of Ethiopia who finished second in a personal best of 59:19. 2006 Commonwealth games 5000m champion, Augustin Choge was third in an impressive time of 59:19.

The 26 year old Karoki finished second at the 2016 world half marathon championships and second again at the 2015 world cross country championships. On both occassions, the race was on by Geoffrey Kamworor.
